Through some of that time, Roy worked as a security guard while attending school to become a carpenter. In younger years, Roy spent his life on the water either lobster or scalloping fishing. It is with heavy hearts the family of Roy Phillip Hersey, 77 of Digby, announce his passing in Tideview Terrace on Jafter a long and difficult battle with Wegener's disease.
